| Manufacturers of both finished diecasts and plastic model kits have a long history of paying homage to the exciting, 2-door, V8-powered, versions of most marques. However, there are very few models ever made to replicate the more common 4-door sedans. This fact has always frustrated our client, who desperately wanted a few models of his own 4-door '57 Buick Special in several color schemes. We scratchbuilt (mostly) a model to be used as the master to make a rubber mold, which was then used to produce copies cast in resin. Once the new "kits" were ready, we built a pair of finished models -- the first in a gray and white two-tone, and the second in white. | ||||
